Dunlop Apex Supreme
Defeat your opponent with accurate shots with the Dunlop Apex Supreme. The emphasis of this racket is on ball control and manoeuvrability. The racket feels very light as the frame weighs only 125 grams and the most weight is in the bottom of the racket. The low balance point encourages you to volley and play the ball early. The racket head is compact due to the conventional frame shape with a bridge, and the gaps between the strings are small, the string pattern being 16 x 19. This gives you an extraordinary feel and allows you to place the ball accurately into the target.
This featherweight racket has an extra-large head of no less than 525 cm2. The strings can move more freely and the ball gets more acceleration during a shot. Also, the sweet spot (= the ideal place to hit the ball) is medium-sized and you can control the ball even if you hit it a little bit outside the ideal striking zone.
The frame of the Dunlop Apex Supreme is made of HM6 carbon. In the development of this material you can see the inspiration by one of the strongest structures in nature: the honeycomb. Producing carbon fibres in a hexagonal shape creates a very light and incredibly strong structure. HM6 carbon ensures that vibrations that occur during a shot are better absorbed and the Dunlop Apex Supreme feels extremely solid.
In order to reduce the air resistance of the Dunlop Apex Supreme, Dunlop has applied a layer with a corrugated structure on the outside of the frame. This structure resembles sharkskin and creates local turbulence, allowing you to easily generate a lot of racket acceleration with the Dunlop Apex Supreme. Reinforcements have also been made to the neck of the frame. This Power Ridge technology increases the stiffness of the Dunlop Apex Supreme. Because torsion forces are better absorbed, the racket blade maintains more stable during a shot, giving you more power and control.
If you want an extraordinarily light racket with a lot of precision, the Dunlop Apex Supreme is your choice. The racket comes with a small squash ball shaped dampener, which features the Dunlop logo and two yellow dots, making a reference to the extremely popular Dunlop Pro squash ball.
